Sustainable HPC & Waste Heat Recovery

Qarnot partners with RackRenew to deliver circular compute solutions that combine second-life OCP infrastructure with liquid cooling and heat recovery technology. Their Brescia deployment, the first of its kind in Italy, proves that remanufactured servers can run mission-critical HPC workloads while simultaneously decarbonizing a city’s heating network.

Brescia, Italy: Qarnot deployed liquid-cooled pods with RackRenew’s OCP servers, supplying heat to 1,350 apartments and avoiding 3,500 tonnes of CO₂ annually. Phase 2 will expand to 16 GWh/year thermal output.
